Who are we looking for?
Ideally all positions will cross-train in other roles- creating a dynamic and well-versed team that can support each other thoroughly. We would also like to hire people who are comfortable on camera and willing to be featured in and participate actively in our social media content creation. Cafe Supervisor
We are looking for a Cafe Supervisor that will help coordinate staff, provide break relief, create social media content and assist with administrative duties. This person will be a dynamic, solution oriented individual with a strong sense of leadership guided by exemplary communication, patience and a passion for excellence. Our ideal candidate would have experience in leadership or supervisory roles, kitchen or barista experience as well as social media management or content creation experience. We welcome applicants of all backgrounds to apply, including those facing barriers to employment. This position is full-time Tuesday- Saturday or Sunday- Thursday based on operational needs. Hours to be determined, but will be based around operating hours 8:00am- 4:00pm (may be earlier for opening and later for closing). Wages for this role will start at $23.00/ hr to 25.00 / hour based on experience.
Barista & Cashier
Our Barista/ Cashier position is a vital role to the success of Social Crust. The Barista is the first face customers see when they walk through the door, and the service they provide can make the difference between a good experience and a great one! For this role we would love to see someone who is energetic and lively, comfortable conversing with people of all backgrounds, and ideally has some experience with payment systems and using a commercial espresso machine. This role starts at $17.85 per hour plus tips. We are currently looking to fill one full time role from Sunday- Thursday 8:30am- 4:30pm as well as casual roles, that may lead to more permanent part-time or full-time employment.
Line Cook
Our line cook is a faced paced culinary chameleon. From slinging sandwiches on the line, to stepping back into the kitchen to support the execution of a large catering order, to covering the Barista's break- the line cook does it all. We are hoping to hire someone with some professional kitchen experience, a Foodsafe Certificate, and a great attitude! This role starts at $19 per hour plus tips. We are currently looking to fill casual roles, but they may lead to more permanent part-time or full-time employment.
Prep Cook
Our prep cook is the foundation of our operation. They start the day early and set us up for success. They are responsible for prepping and executing our catering services and keeping our cafe stocked with all the delicious foods that keep our incredible customers coming back for more! This role starts at $19 per hour plus tips. We are currently looking to fill casual roles, but they may lead to more permanent part-time or full-time employment.
