GUEST CHEF NIGHT
Guest Chef Nights at Social Crust Café & Catering feature a unique collaboration between some of Vancouver’s local top chefs with our Coast Mental Health Culinary Skills Training and Café Training Programs. Three times a year, we partner with renowned chefs to bring awareness to young adults recovering from mental health and employment barriers and highlight how our distinctive programs are helping change lives.
Featuring a 4-course menu specially crafted by the partnering chef, our culinary students and instructors assist in the preparation and service for the event. This opportunity also allows students to be a part of putting together an evening of incredible food to showcase the skills they gained from our training programs.
Our amazing sponsors donate products or services such as fresh, seasonal produce, floral décor, rental equipment or photography services. Guest Chef Night directly supports young adults in our training programs, which are entirely funded through philanthropy. One of the many benefits of top chef's coming into donate their time is working with our students one on one and Chef Mueller is no exception. When our students have the opportunity to be exposed to professional fine dining techniques from top chef's like Chef Mueller it is invaluable. Allowing them to be hands on participants on this special evening helps them develop confidence and curiosity.
